What to Expect
Once you sit in the dentist’s chair, we’ll insert an IV in a vein and start administering sedative drugs. Since Dr. Yun will be able to adjust the level of dental sedation, you’ll stay comfortable throughout the entire procedure.
The level of IV sedation can range from minimal to deep, depending on the needs of the patient. For this reason, you may feel groggy and disoriented after your appointment. You’ll also need to arrange for a trusted friend or family member to drive you home after the procedure.
You won’t be able to return to your normal schedule until the medication has a chance to wear off and leave your system.
